Training and Development

Training and Development of our employees is the single most important investment in our company.

Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, we have an obligation to provide officers that meet 6 criteria:

  • An identity check (they are who they say they are)
  • Criminality Check
  • Sector Competence
  • Enhanced Vetting – Although a CRB check is carried out with the SIA this only highlights cautions and convictions it is therefore necessary dependent upon the nature of security cover e.g. schools, colleges, universities, Hospitals or where people are at risk together with the venerable young and old that the Security Officer is put through an enhanced vet which together with the above would highlight any arrests due to allegations/investigations although not charged or cautioned with an offence.
  • CSCS - As it is our commitment to ensure that each of our Security Officers are updated on all courses according to the Clients specification and Industry, we are at present putting our Security Officers who work on construction sites through the CSCS course (Health and Safety) whereby we endeavour for all our Officers to carry a valid License by the end of 2008.
  • Learning Distance Course – to further the security Officers knowledge within the industry

Our training moves beyond the basic job training and is ongoing as shown below:
